Playtime On The Knysna River
Lightleys River Runners, the day-boat hiring subdivision of
Lightleys Holiday Houseboats.
Boating at Lightleys requires no special boating skills, we provide
all our guests with training in the use and handling of our vessels
and we supply all the safety equipment you need. |
Hire a Canadian-style canoe for one or two people. They’re easy to
manoeuvre and they’re great for romantics, ideal for birders, or
charter one of our luxury, self-sail house boats to explore the Knysna
Lagoon for a single day.
And if you want to add real luxury to your romance, we’ll provide a
decadent picnic hamper complete with a bottle of bubbly and a platter
of juicy, fresh Knysna Oysters.

Each of our picnic baskets caters for two persons. A 24 hour lead time
is required for all orders, to ensure the freshest produce. Menus can
be altered by special request.
Enjoy any of our following choices: Sunrise Feast Breakfast; Dinner to
go, Traditional Braai Pack, Trendy South African Hamper. |
Hire a Poppet (small 8 hp open craft), they’re suitable for as many as
four adults.
But there’s more, because the upper reaches of the Knysna River are
closed to large-engined motor boats, our Poppets are allowed to go all
the way! And they’re perfect for fishermen, families and friends. |
