The Featherbed Eco-Experience, is a 4 hour excursion not to be missed
when in the area, just a short ferry trip away, the Featherbed Nature
reserve is situated on the Western Head.
Take the 4x4 drive to the top of the Reserve, see magnificent views,
hike down on a guided walk through the reserve on a 2,2 kilometer
path, passing through Milkwood forests, fynbos onto sea cliffs and
into ancient caves. |
See the Blue duiker (one of the smallest antelope species in the
world) part of a unique breeding programme, the colourful Knysna
Loerie and endangered Knysna sea horse can also be viewed.
End the excursion with a delicious buffet lunch at the lagoon side
restaurant. |
