The Inyati Safari is unsurpassed.
Morning and evening game drives in specially designed Landrovers take
you deep into the bush frequently going off-road to track the major
species - elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, the endangered
cheetah and wild dog. At Inyati it is
not unusual to see the Big 5 in a single day - along with giraffe,
zebra, hippo and the many varieties of antelope. Savour the moment as
the sun sinks below the trees and you stop for sundowners surrounded
by wildest Africa before embarking on a night drive where the
spotlight and the keen eyes of the tracker pick-up the major predators
and the equally fascinating shy smaller animals such as genet,
porcupine, civet and bushbaby.
The bush walks are legendary. The emphasis is on the trees and
grasses, the myriad birds, the smaller creatures like insects,
beetles, arachnids and reptiles. The guides will make the wilderness
come alive with their exhaustive knowledge and tracking big game on
foot is an exhilarating experience. Game viewing or cocktails on the
barge while cruising down the Sand River is a unique
Inyati adventure.
Inyati rangers are highly trained and experienced in the ways
of the wild. The Shangaan trackers have an intuitive and historic
knowledge of the flora and fauna.
